\r\n\u201cGoing with children to the mountains has no problem but to keep their interest constantly so they don\u2018t get bored. It is very difficult for children not to be able to physically endure six, eight, ten, twelve or more kilometers of walking in the woods, including slopes. However, if we manage to keep their interest they will not feel any more tired than we do and will rise without excessive problems.

ACCESS TO THE LIGHTHOUSE FROM GORLIZ IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED<\/p>\n

\n \n LIGHTHOUSE <\/h2>\n

Gorliz\u2019s lighthouse is the town\u2019s flagship. It was built on the cliffs, at 165 metres above sea level, in 1990. This 21 metre tower finished with a glass lantern is the tallest lighthouse in the Cantabrian region.<\/p>
\r\n

A path leads you to the lighthouse from where you can enjoy magnificent views of the sea.<\/p>

Going down by the path next to the lighthouse you will notice the entire slope is perforated by 3 old coastal bunkers connected to each other and installed during the 1940s, but which were never used.<\/p>

From the last platform you can see the remains of a heavy cannon. It\u2019s worth having a wander round and taking some photos.<\/p>
\r\n
